Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and 25 other technology companies will be represented at a virtual career fair hosted by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority on Thursday (Jan. 28).
The Cyber and Cloud Virtual Career Fair will focus on the information technology, cyber, and cloud industries. Participation is free of charge for job seekers, and the FCEDA is encouraging professionals of all experience levels to attend. People with security clearances are especially in demand, though that is not a required qualification.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA A Fairfax County virtual career fair on Jan. 28 will feature 27 companies in Northern Virginia hiring in the information technology (IT), cyber and cloud industries. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Enterprise are a few of the companies participating.
Hosted by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, the event is part of a virtual career fair series the economic development is sponsoring or leading in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Participation is free of charge and open to technology professionals of all experience levels. During the virtual career fair, individuals will browse companies in a virtual lobby, enter companies booths, view open positions, engage in video conferencing and chat with HR representatives.

HERNDON, VA Mayor Lisa Merkel received a Trustee Leadership Award from Leadership Fairfax during a virtual awards ceremony on Friday Morning. She was one of seven community leaders and organizations recognized with 2020 Northern Virginia Leadership Awards for having a significant impact on Northern Virginia through volunteerism, collaboration, and community engagement.

Wilson, Northern Virginia Veterans Administrative Support Housing (VASH) team leader, accepts VVA Chapter 227 credit card gift cards for VASH veterans and families in need of additional holiday financial support.
