A vehicle allegedly damaged by a road roller in Silverstream Upper Hutt after a man allegedly drove it into boy racer s cars during a meet.
Two men have pleaded guilty to a series of charges over an incident in Upper Hutt where a road roller was used against cars. The group of racers were at an industrial site, and they were accused of damaging it. One of them received a broken leg when he was run over by a car trying to flee from the roller.

Assault victim Preston Te Wano with his partner Angel Te Whaiti.
A 20-year-old Wainuiomata man has been granted name suppression after appearing in court for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to Preston Te Wano. The man was remanded for three weeks by a Wellington District Court registrar without pleading. He was charged after an assault at New World Chaffers car park, off Wakefield St, on June 19.

Wellington Police today arrested a 20-year-old man in relation to an assault on 19 June in the New World Chaffers carpark.
The man is due to appear in Wellington District Court on 29 June charged with wounding with reckless disregard.
The victim was seriously injured, and Police and his family would like to thank the public for their assistance and for the information provided.
Wellington’s entertainment precinct is a place where everybody has the right to be safe and feel safe. Behaviour which causes people to feel unsafe or puts them at risk will not be tolerated, and those responsible for violence and disorder will be held to account.
