Muscat: The Sultanate has condemned the action taken by Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
A statement issued online by the Foreign Ministry of Oman said: “The Foreign Ministry of Oman expresses the condemnation of the Sultanate of Oman at the Israeli forces storming the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and rejects the policies and procedures leading to the displacement of the brotherly Palestinian people from their homes in the city of Jerusalem.”
“The Sultanate affirms its position in support of legitimate rights in establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital,” the Ministry said.
