Karim Khalili Calls on Pakistani Foreign Minister

“FM [foreign minister] reiterated Pakistan’s consistent support for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan,” Mohammad Sadiq, the Pakistani special representative to Afghanistan took to Twitter.
According to Mr. Sadiq, foreign minister Qureshi and his country had constantly emphasized that there was no “military solution” for Afghanistan war, but “a negotiated settlement was the only way forward.”

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday held talks with leader of Afghanistan s Hezb-e-Wahdat-e Islami party Karim Khalili in Islamabad on the peace process in Afghanistan, the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said.
Khalili, the former Afghan vice president, arrived in Pakistan on a three-day visit on Monday.
Qureshi described as good omen the progress in intra-Afghan negotiations currently underway in Qatar to decide a future political roadmap, according to the statement. It has been Pakistan s long standing stance that there is no military solution to the Afghan conflict. A comprehensive negotiated political settlement is the only solution acceptable to the Afghan leadership, the statement quoted Qureshi as saying.

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi kicked off a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday for talks on bilateral matters, the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said.
A foreign ministry statement said Qureshi will hold discussions with the UAE leadership on all areas of mutual interest including regional and global issues. The foreign minister will exchange views on bilateral cooperation, in particular, trade, investment and the welfare of Pakistani diaspora, it said.
The UAE is home to the second-largest Pakistani community abroad. The visit was part of the high-level exchanges between Pakistan and UAE, it added.
