ADDIS ABABA, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) The Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki on Wednesday called on Sudan and Ethiopia to solve recent disputes in a peaceful manner.
This came as a high-level Eritrean delegation, composed of the country s Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Presidential Adviser Yemane Ghebreab, met in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital, with the Chairman of Sudan s Sovereign Council Abdul Fattah Al Burhan, as well as Sudan s Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, concerning the current relations between Sudan and Ethiopia.
The high-level Eritrean delegation delivered a message from the Eritrean president regarding relations between Sudan and Ethiopia, Yemane Gebremeskel, Eritrea s Information Minister, said in a statement.

Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki sent a message to Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok, affirming that his country is not involved in the ongoing border conflict between Sudan and Ethiopia. Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Presidential Adviser Yemane Ghebreab delivered the message during a visit to Khartoum on Wednesday.
Afewerki said that his country calls for a peaceful solution between the two sides in a way that serves peace, stability, and security in the region.

Eritrea Encourages Sudan, Ethiopia Overcome Differences Patiently

Eritrea’s delegation composed of Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Presidential Adviser Yemane Ghebreab met today in Khartoum President of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, and delivered a message from President Isaias Afwerki regarding relations between Sudan and Ethiopia.
The Delegation also conveyed the message to Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok. In his letter, President Isaias stressed the need to overcome the differences between the two neighbors amicably and patiently.
President Al Burhan and PM Hamdok expressed their appreciation for Eritrea’s continued initiative.
President Al Burhan and Prime Minister Hamdock further reaffirmed Sudan’s determination to peacefully solve temporary difficulties, develop strong ties with Ethiopia and work for regional cooperation.
