ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2021 ) :Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Tuesday said Pakistan would welcome the third-party facilitation by Saudi Arabia or any other country for resumption of talks with India. Pakistan is ready for third-party facilitation. It is India that has always shied away from it, he said in a press conference held here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Qureshi said Saudi Arabia was the friend of Pakistan and also had business ties with India, which was a big importer of Saudioil.

ISLAMABAD: Terming Supreme Court the most appropriate forum for interpretation of the Constitution, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Tuesday said the government would respect its guidance on the matter of open ballot in the Senate election.
In a statement, he said the government had only two options: one, to approach court for a constitutional interpretation; two to amend the Constitution, for which it lacked two-thirds majority.
Commenting on the current political situation in the country, Qureshi said Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N always bluffed about democracy and demanded open voting, but were now deviating from their claims.

NEW DELHI: Thousands of Indian farmers fought pitched battles with police across New Delhi on Tuesday, as they took protests against agriculture reforms into the capital during a giant Republic Day military parade.
Police laid on one of their biggest security operations in years in a bid to keep demonstrators away from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other government and military leaders. However, after barging through barricades on main roads into the city, convoys of farmers on tractors took over Delhi landmarks and debris-strewn streets were left in clouds of tear gas.
One farmer was killed in what police said was an accident after his tractor overturned. Police said they suffered many casualties but gave no figures.
