Pakistan welcomes US new ‘peace plan’ for Afghanistan
The plan is aimed at breaking the stalemate in the peace process

Pakistan on Thursday welcomed the Biden administration s renewed push at seeking an end to the war in Afghanistan with a set of new proposals but aired its concerns over giving India a role in the Afghan endgame.
The new US administration recently outlined its strategy regarding Afghanistan. The four-point plan includes a UN-sponsored conference of regional countries, high-level talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban in Turkey, 90-day reduction in violence and a transitional Afghan government.

Islamabad, Feb 19 (IANS) The Foreign Office on Thursday rejected Indian concerns about Sikh Yatris visiting Pakistan for pilgrimage and said that they were fully facilitated during the trips. Pakistan provides maximum facilitation to the Sikh Yatris from all over the world, including India, for visiting their religious sites in Pakistan, Foreign Office Spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said at the weekly media briefing, the Dawn reported on Friday.
India had disallowed around 600 Sikhs intending to visit Pakistan from February 18 to 25 for the 100th anniversary of Saka Nankana Sahib. The group was expected to visit five gurdwaras in Pakistan.
