New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday made a fervent appeal to protesters to end their agitation against the new farm laws even as he questioned opposition parties for their sudden U-turn on the agriculture reforms.
The Prime Minister also hit out at those behind the protests, saying a new breed of agitators has emerged in the country who cannot live without an agitation and the country should be beware of them.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on Monday about “andolan jeevi” and “foreign destructive ideology (FDI)” came in for sharp criticism from the opposition and the farmers protesting against the three agri laws. They said these terminologies were an insult to the farmers.
Replying to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in Rajya Sabha, the prime minister hit out at those who were fuelling the protests. Terming the “new breed of agitators andolan jeevi , he said it cannot survive without an agitation and the nation should guard against them.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Rajya Sabha on Monday said that India must protect itself from andolan jeevis who are present at every agitation. In the last few years, we have witnessed a new category of protesters, andolan jeevi , who can be witnessed in every agitation. We need to protect this country from these andolan jeevis, who are actually parjeevi (parasite). They don t have their own strength, but they join all agitations, said PM Modi.
