Holidays are set to resume - as possible ‘green list’ countries are revealed Leah Sinclair
Boris Johnson is on course to confirm overseas holidays will be permitted from May 17.
Quarantine-free travel could be permitted to destinations with low infection rates and high vaccination take-up.
While the first list of “green” countries will not be announced until next month, it’s expected to include only a handful of European destinations due to a surge in cases across the continent.
However countries including Barbados, Maldives, Gibraltar, the United Arab Emirates, Malta and Israel, which have excellent vaccinations rates, are expected to be given the green light.
