New Delhi, May 14 : The much-delayed announcement of the rates under the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme will be made in 15 days, Director General, Foreign Trade, Amit Yadav said on Friday.
Participating in a virtual interactive session, organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yadav stated that as compared to 2019, there has been a 16 per cent growth in exports for the month of April 2021 primarily due to the contribution from sectors like engineering, gems & jewellery, petroleum products, drugs and pharma, ready-made garments and spices.
Exim Bank provides a $7.35 million credit line to Nicaragua
Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) has entered into an agreement with the government of the Republic of Nicaragua to support Line of Credit (LoC) of $7.35 million to the government.
EXIM on behalf of the Indian government is providing with this credit for the purpose of replacement and equipment of the high technology centre of Hospital Antonio Lenin Fonseca at Managua in the Republic of Nicaragua.
Under the arrangement, financing of export of eligible goods and services from India, would be allowed subject to their being eligible for export under the Foreign Trade Policy of the Government of India and whose purchase may be agreed to be financed by the Exim Bank under this agreement.

New Delhi [India], May 1 (ANI): Amid the acute shortage of medical oxygen in several parts of the country due to surge in COVID-19, the Finance Ministry on Saturday reduced the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) rate on the import of oxygen concentrators for personal use from 28 per cent to 12 per cent.
The reduced IGST rate will be applicable till June end. IGST on import of oxygen concentrators for personal use has been reduced from 28 per cent to 12 per cent to bring IGST rate on such personal imports at par with commercial imports of the same. This reduced IGST rate for imports of concentrator for personal use shall be applicable up to June 30, 2021, said the Ministry of Finance notification.
