ISLAMABAD: As the opposition members strongly criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s Kashmir policy, Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs Andleeb Abbas told the National Assembly that the Pakistan government, military leadership and the federal cabinet were on one page on Kashmir and Palestine issues.
She was responding to a calling attention, raised by the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) parliamentarians, pertaining to any action taken by Pakistan to stop Indian atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K). PML-N leaders including Ahsan Iqbal, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb and Chaudhry Birjees Tahir criticised the government inaction on IIOJ&K and Palestine.

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Monday extended the Tax Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, VI 2021, which was set to expire on June 11.
The house adopted a resolution to extend the ordinance for a further period of 120 days under proviso to sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (a) of clause (2) of Article 89 of the Constitution.
The ordinance, according to its aims and objectives, seeks to augment efforts towards economic stability and ensure expeditious implementation of tax policies envisaging innovation and documentation of the economy, promotion of foreign investment in the local debt market, removal of anomalies and mitigation of the genuine hardships of taxpayers. Mr Afridi was speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of the declamation contest ‘#speakforfreedom’ organised by Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) in collaboration with Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir here Monday.
Mr Afridi was of the view that while India was ruled by one of the most extremist political forces, it had still projected its image of a shining country in the world. ISLAMABAD: A day after the disclosure of a disinformation network being run by India for 15 years to discredit nations it is in conflict with, Islamabad advised Delhi to stop churning out false propaganda against its rivals and focus on its internal problems.
