The European Parliament has postponed a decision on ratifying the EU-UK free trade agreement in protest at the UK's unilateral move on how the Northern Ireland Protocol should be implemented.

Most arrivals surveyed at Dublin Airport last week said they were returning from holiday
A majority of passengers surveyed as they arrived at Dublin Airport last week listed returning from holiday or a visit abroad as their reason for travel.
Data taken from surveys of arriving passengers show that arrivals into the airport increased by more than 10% between 22 and 28 of February, compared to the previous week. In total 11,067 people arrived into the country during the period.
The data also showed that 7,261 Irish residents arrived into the country during this period, while 4,346 non-residents arrived.

Irish language speakers are being treated with total disrespect over Stormont s failure to introduce an Irish language Act.
That is according to the Irish language body Conradh na Gaeilge (CnaG).
Dr Pádraig Ó Tiarnaigh, from CnaG, told the Oireachtas Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement a delay in language legislation was hugely frustrating .
Politicians called for the legislation to be implemented immediately.
That was alongside a new Office of Identity and Cultural Expression, and a commissioner for the Ulster Scots and Ulster British tradition in Northern Ireland.

A medical emergency expert has warned that the race is on between the vaccines and the variants of the coronavirus and said its vital the most vulnerable people in society are vaccinated as quickly as possible before these variants begin to circle around.
Dr Ian Norton, a former head of the WHO’s Emergency Medical Team Initiative in Geneva, who’s from Cork, described vaccination as a privilege and urged people to get vaccinated.
