Santisimo Rosario Parish urged the public to pray for the souls of Sonia and Frank.
The parish also joined the call for justice for the fatalities identified as Sonia Gregorio, 52, and her 25-year old son, Frank Anthony Gregorio.
On Sunday, Police Senior Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca turned himself in after he was accused of shooting his neighbors. The two victims died on the spot due to bullet wounds in the head.
Both are residents of Purok 2, in Barangay Cabayaoasan in Paniqui town.
According to multiple reports, the shooting was sparked by a confrontation over the firing of “boga,” an improvised cannon made of PVC pipe that produces noise resembling a shot.

Zubiri reiterated the need for a separate penitentiary for heinous crime inmates as he called for a “fitting” punishment on Police Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca for killing his neighbors Sonya and Frank Anthony Gregorio in Paniqui, Tarlac, on Sunday, December 20.
“This Christmas, my simple wish is na-ipasa ng House of Representatives ‘yong bill namin ni Senate President [Vicente] Sotto at ni Sen. [Richard] Gordon na ang pag-establish ng Alcatraz-type prisons for heinous crimes (is for the House of Representatives to pass the filed by Senate President Sotto, Sen. Gordon and myself on the establishment of Alcatraz-type prisons for heinous crimes),” Zubiri said told reporters in a message.
