The border talks between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) will be held for the first time outside Delhi.

New Delhi: The 51st Round of Director General Level Talks (DGLT) between India and Bangladesh will be held in Guwahati between December 22 and December 26. Aimed at discussing border-related matters such as controlling trans-border crimes and timely sharing of information, the four-day conference will take place for the first time at a venue outside of Delhi. The biannual conference will have Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) as its participants.

US Proposes AI Cooperation With India on Defense, Security Issues
NEW DELHI The U.S. National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence is proposing that the United States and India collaborate on artificial intelligence (AI) for defense and security issues to address various geopolitical and societal challenges.
“Our AI commission has recently proposed a formal US-India strategic technology alliance, literally, a formal activity of the US government to develop a regional tech strategy and collaborate on joint research and development projects, talent exchanges … using AI to address common societal concerns,” commission Chairman Eric Schmidt said in a virtual address to Inspired India, the annual general meeting of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), on Dec. 12.

DHAKA, Dec 20, 2020 (BSS) – The 51st round of Director General (DG) Level Talks (DGLT) between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) will be held from December 22 to 26 in Guwahati, India.
BGB Director General (DG) Major General Md Shafeenul Islam will lead an 11-member Bangladesh delegation while his BSF counterpart Rakesh Asthana will lead a 12-member delegation at the routine boarder conference, said a BGB press release here today.
Concerned officials from Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Home Affairs Ministry, Foreign Affairs Ministry and senior BGB officials will represent the Bangladesh delegation in the conference while senior officials of BSF headquarters, frontier IGs and concerned officials of the Indian Home Affairs Ministry and External Affairs Ministry will represent the BSF delegation.
