Messaging platform WhatsApp’s new privacy policy may have done irreparable harm to users’ trust on the Facebook-owned platform, two surveys revealed today. According to a survey of 1,500 Indians by Cybermedia Research (CMR), 79% said they are reconsidering using WhatsApp, while 28% are planning to leave the platform fully after May 2021, which is when the new policy comes into effect.

NEW DELHI: The world can count on India, billed the “Pharmacy of the World , to help it overcome the covid-19 challenge, Indian foreign minister S Jaishankar said in a Twitter post on Friday.
The minister’s tweet was in response to UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres saying overnight that India’s vaccine production capacity “is the best asset that the world has today .

A very low intensity improvised explosive device went off at about 5.05 pm on Friday evening (29 January) at APJ Abdul Kalam Road near the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi. There have been no reports of any casualties.
Window panes of several cars parked there were shattered with the impact.
The blast occurred around 1.8 KM away from the beating retreat ceremony at Vijay Chowk. Incidentally, the blast also took place on the day India and Israel are celebrating 29-years of diplomatic relations.
