NEW DELHI, April 6 (Xinhua) India s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov held talks in New Delhi on Tuesday and discussed bilateral and global issues, said a statement issued by the Indian ministry of external affairs.
The focus of their discussions was preparations for Russian President Vladimir Putin s visit to India for the annual summit later this year. We talked about longstanding partnership in nuclear, space and defence sectors. We assessed positively our economic cooperation, noting the new opportunities in Russian Far East, said Jaishankar while briefing media persons after the talks.

New Delhi, April 6 : India and Russia are exploring connectivity through the north-south international transport corridor and eastern maritime corridor.
Concluding his talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday, India s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that the two sides have noted new opportunities in the Russian Far East. We spoke of connectivity, including the International North-South Transport Corridor and the Chennai-Vladivostok Eastern Maritime Corridor, an official statement issued by the ministry said.
