Jaishankar Wishes Serbia On National Day, Says Bilateral Ties will Continue To Flourish

External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar on Monday extended greetings to the Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic, the entire government and citizens on the occasion of their National Day. Every year, February 15 in Serbia is a national holiday to commemorate the outbreak of the First Serbian Uprising in 1804 that further evolved into the Serbian Revolution against the Ottoman rule. Taking to Twitter, EAM also noted the bilateral relations between India and Serbia that is time-tested” and assured that it will continue to “flourish” in the future.

Colombo, February 12 (newsin.asia): India s Deputy High Commissioner, Vinod K.Jacob, has said that India-Sri Lanka bilateral trade gap has narrowed since 2018. We have been able to reduce the trade gap in 2018 and 2019 and made our trade more balanced. According to the latest data from the Sri Lankan side, in 2020, Sri Lankan imports from India were valued at USD 3 billion while Sri Lankan exports to India were valued at USD 604.42 million. This means that the bilateral trade gap, which was USD 3.39 billion in 2018, was further reduced to USD 2.40 billion in 2020, Jacob said in his speech at the ‘Most admired companies of Sri Lanka award ceremony organized by International Chamber of Commerce, Sri Lanka, Daily FT and Chartered Institute of Management in Colombo on February 10.

Bhopal: On the occasion of her birth anniversary, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday announced a statue of BJP stalwart and former Union minister Sushma Swaraj will be installed in Vidisha, the Lok Sabha constituency represented by her.
The Madhya Pradesh CM paid tribute to the late BJP veteran at his residence here in the presence of some state ministers and senior party leaders. Swaraj s contribution to the development of Vidisha is incomparable. A statue of Swaraj would be installed at the Town Hall in Vidisha, PTI quoted Chouhan as saying.
