Panelists from 6 countries, including Singapore, speak at pre-Pravasi Bharatiya conference led by Indian EAM Jaishankar Wednesday, December 23rd 2020 Forging Media and Entertainment Partnerships to showcase India@75 was the objective of the 4th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Conference in the run up to PBD 2021. The panel discussion was inaugurated by Dr S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister, Govt of India with a focus on forging partnerships, reaching the target audience, promoting brand India, synergising art and culture and the power of youth along with viable media networks in India and overseas to  celebrate India@75. Organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said at the outset that instead of regarding online events as a compulsion of the COVID-19 pandemic times, we all should embrace it as an outcome of a different era.

Agencies Anurag Srivastava NEW DELHI: The Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday lashed out at a media report which alleged that India-Russia annual summit was postponed this year due to Moscow’s sensitivities over Quad and asserted “Spreading false stories in important relationships is particularly irresponsible.”

This comes after Moscow expressed severe reservations on New Delhi joining the Indo-Pacific initiative and Quad, thereby tilting more towards the US.  © Provided by The Print India and Russia have been holding the annual summit, which is the highest institutionalised dialogue mechanism in the strategic partnership, since 2000 when the ‘Declaration on the India-Russia Strategic Partnership’ was signed between both sides.  This is the first such year, however, when despite several high-level visits from New Delhi to Moscow, tensions have begun to simmer in the bilateral ties over Russia’s rhetoric against India’s increasing alignment with the US, diplomatic sources told ThePrint.
