JHANG: The Evacuee Trust Property Board officials with the support of local police retrieved 102-Kanal trust land from a man on Sunday. The land was given to a new party on lease for three years.
According to ETPB Deputy Administrator Yasir Akram’s office memorandum, a very precious 102-Kanal agricultural land situated at Lala Johla of Massan area had been retrieved from the illegal possession of an influential person after a legal struggle of five years. After tackling the resistance with the help of police force, the trust land had been handed over to another party on new lease for three years, he said.

Precious and historic properties of the Evacuee Trust Property Board are being leased out at throwaway prices in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (K-P) Dera Ismail Khan district with the alleged support of a local Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf stalwart to his close aides without inviting much attention from government.
Recently a building where the Social Welfare Department’s Office was working was sold at throw away prices to a party followed by a Mother and Child Care Centre as both were working in buildings leased from Evacuee Trust Property Board. Soon after this the famous building of TB Association was leased at a throw away price of Rs3.4 million.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said his government’s flagship Sehat Card Scheme would bring about a revolution in the health sector besides providing universal health coverage to people, particularly the poor and the needy.
“The universal health coverage would … protect the poor against economic fallout of contracting a disease,” he said while addressing the launching ceremony of online services of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
The prime minister said even developed states did not provide full healthcare coverage to their citizens but Pakistan was moving towards full universal health coverage despite its limited resources.
TAXILA: Around 800 Indian Sikh pilgrims arrived at Gurdwara Punja Sahib on Wednesday to observe Baisakhi.
The pilgrims remained stranded in Gurdwara Dehra Sahib Lahore for two days after arrival through Wagha border, as violent protests erupted across the country. After getting security clearance, the pilgrims were escorted to Gurdwara Punja Sahib.
Baisakhi - celebrated to mark the beginning of a new harvest season - was celebrated under strict observance of Covid-19 standing operating procedures (SOPs); wearing a mask was mandatory for every pilgrim to enter the temple. The concluding ceremony Bhog was performed, attended by Sikh leaders and Pakistani officials. Later, the pilgrims performed Keerthan followed by Ardaas (dua) where the followers seek divine forgiveness for their sins. At the end, Prasad, a sweet dish, was distributed among participants.
