At their meeting Wednesday afternoon, the White Township Supervisors received word that DCNR had reviewed the township’s stewardship plan and sent back their reply.
Township manager Milt Lady said that DCNR had some praise and some criticism concerning the plan for White’s Woods.
The full DCNR response will be posted to WhiteTownship.org Thursday morning. In response, Supervisors President George Lenz suggested that a five person committee be made to further work on the plan. Lenz said three of the people on the committee are very familiar with White’s Woods.
The fourth and fifth members will be Township Supervisor Gail McCauley and a citizen who was not named as they had not yet accepted the offer to join the committee. Lenz said he wants to see the committee formed as soon as pending litigation from the Friends of White’s Woods is complete.
