Pennsylvania State Police said Friday that Troopers are continuing to investigate the theft of $2,100 in U.S. currency from the White Township Walmart.
Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward for information leading to an arrest.
As reported on Sunday, State Police investigated a theft at the White Township Walmart store that occurred on Jan. 17. Two women got away with 21 one-hundred dollar bills from the service desk. The two suspects entered the store and about a half-hour later, they approached the customer service desk with a $20 gift card. The suspects then handed the cashier a $50 bill and the cashier opened the cash register drawer. While the cashier’s hand was in the drawer, the first suspect reached into the drawer. State police have issued reports on two thefts at the White Township Walmart store, one on January 17
th and the other this past Friday afternoon.
The January 17
th incident involved two women who got away with 21 one-hundred dollar bills from the service desk. Police say that at 4:28 PM, the two suspects entered the store and about a half-hour later, they went to the customer service area, where one of them handed the cashier a twenty-dollar gift card and a fifty-dollar bill. When the cashier opened the cash drawer, the woman reached into it. The cashier pulled out a stack of one-hundred dollar bills and the woman grabbed it, and then fanned the bills out in her hands. The second woman then began waving her arms around and talking to the cashier to distract her. While that was happening, the first woman let go of the stack of bills, which the cashier put back in the drawer, but the woman had kept 21 of them and
