Westfield High School student publishes first novel during COVID-19 pandemic

Grace Kuhn, a junior at Westfield High School, self-published her first book, “Knox Hollow Murder on Mayflower.”

Ever since 17-year-old Grace E. Kuhn was a child, she has enjoyed reading mystery novels. “To me, trying to solve the crime as the story unfolds always fascinated me. I love the suspense and plot twists that mystery and thrillers bring,” she said. Now readers can try to solve the mystery in her first book, “Knox Hollow Murder on Mayflower,” self-published in December.

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Next Level Teacher Compensation Commission released its report detal ailing recommendations for making teacher pay competitive with surrounding states.
During his 2019 State of the State Address, Governor Eric. J. Holcomb tasked the 13-member commission with providing proposals prior to the 2021 legislative session.
“I am grateful to the commission for its dedication to developing these recommendations,” Gov. Holcomb said. “The report provides a wide range of actions for all to review and consider moving forward. The options offer a base for continuing these important conversations about making compensation for our hard-working teachers more competitive.”
The report includes 37 recommendations for local school corporations and state government that could improve teacher compensation through expense reallocation, additional revenues or policy changes.

WESTFIELD, NJ Overcoming the hindrances of the pandemic, the Westfield High school Theatre Department is virtually presenting a play this weekend that conveys the grief, torment and tragedy of the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
