New Zealand health authorities have reported two new border cases in today s numbers, one of them being the infected cleaner. New Zealand now has a total of 83 active cases.
The welcome news comes after the trans-Tasman bubble opened with Australia opened up on Monday.
The airport staff member is believed to have been infected while cleaning a plane that carried international passengers.
However, the cleaner was fully vaccinated early in the country s vaccination program in February and March.
