Bullet train to connect Hyderabad with other cities: Rail plan

Hyderabad: Indian Railways in its new draft of National Rail Plan (NRP) said Hyderabad would be connected with different cities through bullet train. A press release was issued after National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) put out tenders for a detail project report to develop Mumbai – Pune – Hyderabad bullet train corridor.
The objective of this draft is to expand the already planned Mumbai- Hyderabad Bullet train till Bangalore. Such a corridor would connect northern cities like Jammu, Amritsar, Delhi and Jaipur to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: The country s first high-speed bullet train project may get entirely commissioned for operations at once. Recently, Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman of Railway Board, while addressing media via video-conferencing said that Indian Railways is making efforts that the entire bullet train project is commissioned end-to-end, at once. He added that railway authorities want to commission the bullet train project together in both Gujarat and Maharashtra and have planned accordingly. Additionally, the Maharashtra government has assured to make more than 80 per cent of land available for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project in the next four months. Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 24 (ANI): Thane Municipal Corporation on Wednesday rejected a proposal of land compensation of around 2,000 hectare land in Thane for bullet train route.
The Proposal was given by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited ( NHSRCL) which was brought for consideration in yesterday s Thane municipal corporation meet where it was rejected.
This rejection of proposal has effectively rejected the transfer of the land required for bullet train in TMC jurisdiction.
