Bayern clinches place in German finals
FC Bayern Munich is the first finalist of the German League playoff after holding off Ludwigsburg 82-73 in Game 4 of their best-of-five series. Bayern won the series 3-1 and will now face either ALBA Berlin or ratiopharm Ulm in the playoff finals. Bayern took control from the get-go, but only kept a slim margin throughout the first half and held 41-34 at halftime. Robin Amaize strung together 8 points early in the third quarter to open 49-37 lead, but the visitors rallied to tie it at 57-57 to end the quarter. But Amaize gave Bayern more breathing room to open the fourth before the team hit five consecutive three-pointers, Zan Mark Sisko and Amaize knocked one each first, then Wade Baldwin hit back-to-back, before a triple from James Gist made it 82-68 with 2 minutes to go, sealing the deal.
