Friday was supposed to be decision day at Clearview Regional High School.
Would it start selling tickets for an outdoor prom? Or would officials inform students they could not plan a large outdoor event because it would fail to meet Gov. Phil Murphy’s gathering limits?
But new guidance on proms and graduation ceremoniesreleased by the state this week eliminated the problem. With a senior class of about 380 students, Clearview can forge ahead with an event that falls within the 500-person limit for outdoor gatherings.

Gender-based price discrimination is the additional amount of money that women pay for everyday goods and services. By a woman’s 50th birthday, she will have spent an average of $69,132 more for the same goods and services than her male counterpart, solely as a result of gender discrimination.
We see significant price differences for practically identical products. In some cases, the only difference is the color. This markup has become known as the “pink tax.” Legislation I have sponsored, S-2039, would prohibit this discriminatory practice in New Jersey.
