DJ LeMahieu went 2-for-4 and swatted his first home run of the season in a losing effort against the Rays on Friday afternoon in Tampa Bay. LeMahieu crushed his solo shot off of Hunter Strickland in the 8th inning, pulling the Yankees to within five runs at 10-5. That would be as close as they would get. He also doubled off of Rich Hill in the third inning and came around to score on a two-run single off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton. So far, so good for LeMahieu in the early going as he s hitting .310/.412/.588 with a homer and three RBI.
