The United High School Athletic Department announced this morning that Max Clevenger and Hunter Cameron have committed to attending Waynesburg Univers.

Three candidates will vie for the seat of former state Rep. Jeff Pyle, R-Ford City, in a special election being held the day of the 2021 municipal primary election on Tuesday
, May 18.
Pyle, in his ninth term, stepped down in March for health reasons.
The winner of the special election will fill his seat immediately and serve until the end of 2022.
The state’s 60th House District covers parts of Armstrong, Butler and Indiana counties.
Smithfield resident among valedictorians at Waynesburg U
Bailey Holt, a history (secondary education) major from Smithfield, was among five valedictorians at Waynesburg Universityâs graduation.
She was a recipient of the A.B. Miller Scholarship and was named to the deanâs list for all eight semesters.
During her undergraduate education, Holt completed certification to become a Certified Google Educator and published an Inquiry Design Model in the Teaching with Primary Sources Eastern Region, which is a partner with the Library of Congress.
Her future plans are to be a high school teacher. She will start immediately as a day-to-day substitute.

St. Luke’s Health System named Rene Pallotti as the vice president for population health for the Meridian, Eagle, Nampa and Fruitland region of the health system. She joined St. Luke’s in 2014, serving first as senior director for St. Luke’s Boise and Meridian medical surgical units. Later that year, she was named St. Luke’s Meridian’s chief nursing officer, a position she held until 2018 when she became Meridian’s chief operating officer / chief nursing officer.
