MONTICELLO, Ky. â A routine traffic stop on Monday night by the Wayne County Sheriff s Office led to the arrest of a Somerset woman.
Jessica Brumley was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance â 2nd or greater offense (heroin); trafficking in a controlled substanceâ1st offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl derivatives); possession of a controlled substance â 3rd degree (drug unspecified); and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident began when Wayne County Deputies Derek Dennis and Jerry Meadows conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations on East Ky. 90.

Two Monticello men are among employees at a Clinton County facility for at-risk teen boys that were charged last week with assaulting residents.
Cecil Nevels, 24, of Monticello, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree Assault and one count of second-degree Assault. Chris Dunagan, 20, of Monticello, was charged with one count of fourth-degree Assault (child abuse). Gabriel Martin, 18, of Albany, with two counts of Assault 4th degree (child abuse).
The investigation began after Kentucky State Police Post 15 in Columbia was notified March 29 by Clinton County Hospital that a boy had been brought to the facility with injuries sustained at Foothills Academy in Albany, according to Post Public Information Officer Trooper Nick Hale.

A Monticello man s domestic violence case has been waived to the Wayne County Grand Jury.
Tommy R. Frost, 54, was arrested Saturday on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree strangulation.
The charges stem from a domestic call which Wayne County deputies Joe Horne and Jerry Meadows responded to on Candi Lane. According to Sheriff Tim Catron, deputies arrived to find Frost standing outside with blood on his hands and clothing. The victim was located sitting inside a vehicle, Sheriff Catron continued, and the investigation revealed she had allegedly been hit numerous times and strangled.
