Gretchen Whitmer Wednesday made a case for Michigan bridge repairs in her proposed $67.1 billion 2022 budget.  It s something we ve got to get done, the governor said. It just shows we ve got to rebuild and rebuild better and stronger. This is one part of a resilient infrastructure we need in Michigan. Whitmer made the remarks Wednesday at a news conference held under an aging bridge at the intersection of Miller Road and Rotunda Drive near Ford Motor Co. s River Rouge complex and Interstate 94 in Dearborn. She said there were more than 500 support beams added to the bridge in the last few years as a stopgap.
