The YWCA of Van Wert County invites community members to join it at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at Wassenberg Art Park for its annual Stand Against Racism event. This free event is a chance to unite voices to educate, advocate, and promote racial justice.
Attendees will be given the opportunity to hear a keynote address by Van Wert Municipal Court Judge Jill. T. Worthington, as well as recite a “Stand Against Racism” pledge. In addition, special music will be performed by Kaitlyn & Frank from “The Move” and three local high school students will be reciting original poems.

Delphos Police reports Badge DELPHOS On Dec. 23, officers responded to a business on Elida
Avenue after receiving a complaint of an employee making threats.
Officers arrived and spoke with several employees who stated that a male
co-worker became upset and made threats to harm multiple people. The
owner of the business requested that the incident be handled internally
prior to possibly filing charges.
On Dec. 24, officers were
contacted about a female who was assaulted by her husband whom she is
separated from. Officers met with the female a short time later and
gathered details of the assault. The female told officers that the

Van Wert City Council adopted a number of end-of-year housekeeping fiscal measures and the 2021 permanent appropriations ordinance during a brief final meeting Monday to close out 2020.
