The plans also detailed a project with three phases that would be completed in 10 years.
“With your vote in favor of Articles 2 and 3, we will be able to continue moving forward in providing a safe and high level of sports and education the youth deserve here in Wareham,” the Tigers said in the statement.
In November 2020, Jared Chadwick, the president of the Wareham Tigers Athletic Association, told Wareham Week that much of the land would be for the three sports fields: a main football field, a warm-up/practice field and one practice and flag football field that would be slightly smaller than a regular football field.

ROCHESTER Rochester Girls Softball League registration has opened for the 2021 spring league.
Those interested can sign up at www.leaguelineup.com/rochestergirlssoftball. Girls in grades 3 through 8, who reside in Rochester, Marion or Mattapoisett – and any surrounding towns that do not offer a softball league – are invited to sign up now through March 6.
The league’s Junior teams (grades three through five) and Senior teams (grades six through eight) will have one practice and one or two games per week during the season, which is expected to start in April and end in June. All practices will be held at Dexter Field in Rochester, and games will be held between Dexter Field and the Wareham Girls Softball Complex.
