Alberta’s UCP government introduced two bills Thursday that would change at least 14 other laws and related regulations in a flurry of what it calls legislative housekeeping.
Health Minister Tyler Shandro introduced Bill 65, the Health Statutes Amendment Act, which will change six pieces of legislation, including giving government the power to waive fees for auto insurers in emergencies.

The government would have the discretion to waive late-filing penalties when insurance records are lost in “extraordinary circumstances,” like fires or floods.

MacNeil had returned to Tiber River Naturals from her first maternity leave on October 14, 2019. Later that month, she advised the company that she was expecting her second child on April 1, 2020, and was intending to take maternity leave around that time, according to the claim.
