An AMP spokesman says a human error caused an ongoing privacy breach that revealed a client’s KiwiSaver details to a complete stranger. He had another person’s name, KiwiSaver investor number and balance. “Unfortunately AMP does not give a s. about NZ’s privacy laws, so they simply keep sending me these emails,” he said. An AMP spokesman said Matthews received the emails due to a human error. “The name, KiwiSaver account number and balance of one of our client’s was mistakenly emailed to the person who contacted
Stuff,” he said. “Unfortunately, this was the result of a fault that occurred while updating contact details for one of our clients.”
