A San Marcos man in his 40s recently died of COVID-19, the Hays County Local Health Department reported Friday.
Hays County has now seen 262 coronavirus-related fatalities since the pandemic’s onset.
The local health department reported 29 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases and 12 additional recoveries with no new hospital discharges or hospitalizations recorded on Friday, which included information from July 1-2.
The county considers 177 cases active 12 more than Wednesday and there have been 19,136 total cases since the first diagnosis of the virus within its boundaries on March 14, 2020. Hays County has tallied 230 COVID-19 cases over the past 21 days. There have been 2,109 probable cases spanning from April 2020 through July 2, 2021.

The Hays County Local Health Department reported 35 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases and 14 additional recoveries with no new hospital discharges or hospitalizations tallied on Wednesday, which included information from June 29-30.
The county considers 165 cases active 21 more than Monday and there have been 19,126 total cases since the first diagnosis of the virus within its boundaries on March 14, 2020. Hays County has tallied 232 COVID-19 cases over the past 21 days. There have been 2,094 probable cases spanning from April 2020 through June 30, 2021.
Two county residents are currently hospitalized by COVID-19 and there have been 916 total hospitalizations as of Wednesday. Some patients hospitalized by COVID-19 are in hospitals outside of Hays County but are included in the county’s numbers if they reside within Hays County, the local health department said.

There have been a total of 261 COVID-19-related fatalities in the county since the start of the pandemic. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 232. San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 28, 68 and 34 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 179,961. The total number of hospitalizations is 916 and total current hospitalizations is two after zero people were hospitalized and zero were discharged.

A Kyle man in his 70s recently died of COVID-19, the Hays County Local Health Department reported Monday.

The local health department also tallied 32 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 21 additional recoveries, two hospital discharges and two hospitalizations on Monday, which included information from June 26-28.
The county considers 144 cases active 10 more than Friday and there have been 19,091 total cases since the first diagnosis of the virus within its boundaries on March 14, 2020. Hays County has tallied 224 COVID-19 cases over the past 21 days. There have been 2,092 probable cases spanning from April 2020 through June 28, 2021.
