17-year-old arrested following San Marcos vehicle pursuit

SAN MARCOS, Texas - A 17-year-old is now in police custody after he allegedly led Hays County Sheriff s deputies on a pursuit in San Marcos.
HCSO says that on Tuesday afternoon, motorcycle deputies attempted a traffic stop on a black Mercedes speeding on southbound I-35. The vehicle drove onto the access road while maintaining speeds of over 70 mph.
Once stopped, he did not comply with deputies, says HCSO, and fled the scene, steering his car towards one of the deputies. The Mercedes stopped again after a short pursuit and the driver again reportedly did not comply with deputies.

Bonnie Laurel Gibson, 26, has been arrested and charged with state-jail felony criminal mischief.
Offensive words, focusing on racism, were spray-painted on the outside walls of city hall in the early morning hours of March 10, according to the city. In addition to the graffiti, a window had been broken.
Video captured by a surveillance system was sent out on social media by the city and the Hays County Sheriff s Office. HCSO says that the investigation led to Gibson in Dripping Springs. When investigators made contact with her, they reportedly found paint on her hands and the interior and exterior of her vehicle that matched the color of the graffiti on the building.

A Dripping Springs woman was arrested following a graffiti incident at Dripping Springs City Hall early Wednesday morning.
Bonnie Laurel Gibson, 26, was arrested after investigators found her with paint on her hands, which matched the color of the graffiti on the city hall building, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office said.
“We want to thank the sheriff’s team for taking such quick action,” Dripping Springs Mayor Bill Foulds Jr. said. “We also want to thank the citizens of Dripping Springs for the outpouring of help. The city coming together is what makes our community so great.”

The Hays County Sheriff s Office arrested a Manor man in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries.
Sheriff s office deputies responded to the area of Quail Run in San Marcos, regarding several vehicle burglaries on Dec. 15, 2020.
As the investigation developed, a search warrant was obtained and executed for a motel room in Austin, where two male subjects and two young children were present. HCSO said detectives recovered stolen firearms from Hays County and other jurisdictions within the state as well as other stolen property in the motel room.
One subject identified as Jeremy Rasco, 23 was arrested on scene for 15 outstanding warrants out of Hays County, including burglary of vehicle, theft of firearm, credit/debit card abuse and theft.
Hays County Sheriff s Office arrests man suspected of mail theft

DRIFTWOOD, Texas - The Hays County Sheriff s Office has arrested a man suspected of mail theft. 52-year-old James Reist was arrested on December 12.
Officials say that deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call in the 300 block of Hawthorne Loop in Driftwood after a caller said that a pickup with a camper, or an SUV, had been seen checking mailboxes. Deputies arrived, located a Ford Expedition, and conducted a traffic stop where they spoke to the driver, identified as Reist.
During the traffic stop and investigation, officials say deputies observed numerous pieces of mail with varying addresses in the back seat of the vehicle.
