The Hays County Sheriff s Office arrested a Manor man in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries.
Sheriff s office deputies responded to the area of Quail Run in San Marcos, regarding several vehicle burglaries on Dec. 15, 2020.
As the investigation developed, a search warrant was obtained and executed for a motel room in Austin, where two male subjects and two young children were present. HCSO said detectives recovered stolen firearms from Hays County and other jurisdictions within the state as well as other stolen property in the motel room.
One subject identified as Jeremy Rasco, 23 was arrested on scene for 15 outstanding warrants out of Hays County, including burglary of vehicle, theft of firearm, credit/debit card abuse and theft.

SAN MARCOS, Texas - A man has been arrested and now faces two dozen charges in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries in Hays County.
22-year-old Jeremy Rasco was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Hays County, including charges of burglary of a vehicle, theft of a firearm, credit/debit card abuse, and theft.
According to the Hays County Sheriff s Office, deputies responded to the area of Quail Run in San Marcos about several vehicle burglaries on Dec. 15. During the investigation, a search warrant was executed for an Austin motel room where detectives recovered stolen firearms from Hays County and other Texas jurisdictions.

HAYS COUNTY, Texas – A 22-year-old Hays County man is now behind bars after deputies said he was involved in a series of vehicle burglaries and had 15 outstanding warrants.
Jeremy Rasco was arrested Thursday, Jan. 7, on a search warrant at a motel room in Austin after the Hays County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of vehicle burglaries in the area of Quail Run in San Marcos.

DRIFTWOOD, Texas - The Hays County Sheriff s Office has arrested a man suspected of mail theft. 52-year-old James Reist was arrested on December 12.
Officials say that deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call in the 300 block of Hawthorne Loop in Driftwood after a caller said that a pickup with a camper, or an SUV, had been seen checking mailboxes. Deputies arrived, located a Ford Expedition, and conducted a traffic stop where they spoke to the driver, identified as Reist.
During the traffic stop and investigation, officials say deputies observed numerous pieces of mail with varying addresses in the back seat of the vehicle.
