Brock s attorney file s motion to have victim s phone transferred to defense

By Jarrod Mills Staff Writer Mar 2, 2021 Mar 2, 2021 WHITLEY COUNTY - A Corbin man accused of killing three people, one of whom was pregnant, was virtually present in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday, where his attorney filed a motion to have the cellphone of one of the victims transferred over to the defense. Paul Brock, 40, is accused of killing Mary Jackson, 74, and her pregnant granddaughter, Tiffany Byers, 33, at an Ellison Street residence in Corbin in February 2018. Brock was arrested on Feb. 18, 2018. The body of Byers husband, Aaron Byers, 45, was located in a shallow grave in a wooded area off Corinth Cemetery Road the following day.

Three receive later dates for court appearances

By Emily Adams-Bentley Staff Writer Dec 18, 2020 Dec 18, 2020 WHITLEY COUNTY — On Tuesday, three men set to be in Whitley County Circuit Court received later dates for court appearances. Thomas Hensley, 35, of Williamsburg, who is facing charges of first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12, appeared in court on Tuesday for a pretrial conference. According to the indictment, Hensley subjected a child less than 12 years of age to sexual contact that occurred between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015. Hensley had his jury trial date set for February 1, which is the first available date as the circuit court is not allowed to hold trials until February now due to orders put in place by the Kentucky Supreme Court.
