DETROIT – A toddler was rescued early Monday morning from a Detroit house fire that officials are calling “suspicious.”
The Detroit Fire Department says they rescued an 18-month-old child at about 3:20 a.m. Monday from a home that caught fire in the 11800 block of Riad Street on Detroit’s east side. It is currently unclear how severe the fire was, where it was located inside the home and where the child was in relation to the fire.
The child appeared to be injured in the fire and was taken to a children’s hospital, officials said.
