Cheyneisha Sharnee Huxley-Wilkie, 24, was driving home from a party about 3.45am on September 20, 2020, when she failed to negotiate a turn and crashed a Toyota Hilux ute into a Moranbah home. Emerald Magistrates Court heard that Huxley-Wilkie, who recorded a blood-alcohol content reading of .157, didn t realise she approached the T-intersection at Bernborough Avenue and Shannon Drive and couldn t come to a stop in time. Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Cramp said the vehicle came to a stop in a front bedroom that was occupied by a small child, who sustained minor injuries.
