Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team via Getty Images The latest EY Economic Monitor for Limerick has revealed there is some cause for optimism despite major and unprecedentent disruption caused by Covid-19. The biannual report shows Limerick has shown resilience during the pandemic, with a key indicator being the creation of 860 new jobs and 194 start-ups to end of the first quarter of 2021. Another positive was that residential investment from August to end of February was €250m. The report found that Limerick has performed relatively well compared to other counties during the pandemic, however, the impact of COVID-19 has been dramatic, with 16,433 people in receipt of PUP and 10,659 people in receipt of the Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme as of 22 Feb 2021.
