Music is a powerful tool which Montgomery artist Chancii uses to help others love themselves. “I’m like motivational trap,” Chancii said. “I try to encourage people to hustle and believe in themselves. I’m very big on women’s empowerment.” That’s clear in Chancii’s songs like “Mirror Morror” and “Sleeping.”  “‘Sleeping’ is about waking up and not sleeping on yourself,” Chancii said. “It’s basically telling women, you’re beautiful. Believe in yourself. I know you’re having a hard time, but that doesn’t define you.” That said, those two songs don’t define Chancii, either. She’s a woman of many styles and messages.
