Majority of Residents in Shanghai District Refuse to Take Chinese COVID-19 Vaccine: Govt Survey
A survey of residents in Shanghai, including people who are at “high risk” of contracting COVID-19, reveals that a low percentage of them are willing to take Chinese-made COVID-19 vaccines, according to a set of internal documents obtained by The Epoch Times.
The financial hub is currently experiencing a resurgence in cases, with some areas of the city going under full lockdown.
Jing’an district is one of the main urban areas of Shanghai, with roughly 1.06 million permanent residents; 39 percent of them are over the age of 60.
UK is considering full border closure to contain new Covid-19 variants, minister says

The British government is considering a full closure of the country s borders in order to contain the spread of new variants of Covid-19, according to Environment Secretary George Eustice.
“We always keep these things under review,” Eustice told Sky News on Friday. “There is concern at the moment at the number of mutant strains . concerns that there s a risk that one day there will be a strain that might be able to evade the vaccine.”
“We ve already toughened it up, we think that s the right approach for now, but obviously everything is always kept under review,” he added.
Shanghai found six local confirmed COVID-19 cases in its most populous downtown Huangpu district on Thursday, two months since the last local case was reported in the city, local health authority said on Friday.
