LONDON: Non-league Chorley knocked coronavirus-ravaged Derby County out of the FA Cup with a surprise 2-0 win on Saturday, while Everton survived a scare against Rotherham as the spiking pandemic took its toll on the third round.
Derby were forced to play with only Under-23 and Under-18 players after their first-team squad and interim manager Wayne Rooney were ruled out following a virus outbreak at the Championship club.
(Jan 10): Arsenal and Everton required extra-time winners to reach the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, while sixth-tier side Chorley beat a Derby County team severely weakened by a Covid-19 outbreak. Mikel Arteta's Arsenal were held scoreless for 90 minutes by Newcastle United and it took a super finish from Emile Smith-Rowe to break the deadlock 19 minutes into extra time, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang adding a second eight minutes later.

Image: Harvey Barnes continued his fine run of scoring in Leicester s big win
And that miss was soon made to look even more glaring as Justin put Leicester ahead in superb style, collecting the ball from Praet on the left, dancing past two Stoke men as he cut inside, and hitting a delightful shot past Bursik and into the top corner from just outside the box.
Bursik then made another decent stop, keeping out a Barnes strike in the 38th minute.
Stoke s James McClean miscued an effort early in the second half and Wilfred Ndidi struck wide at the other end before Leicester went 2-0 up through Albrighton.
