SGPC opens 25-bed Covid centre

499 Ludhiana, May 6 The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) today opened a 25-bed Covid care ward at the Diwan Hall of Gurdwara Manji Sahib at Alamgir, Ludhiana, which will provide free health care to Covid patients. Inaugurating the facility, SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur said the hospital, set up to provide free oxygen and medicines to Covid patients, would be manned by medical and paramedical staff from the Guru Ram Das Medical College and Hospital, Amritsar. She added that a fully equipped ambulance would also be stationed at the centre which would be put at the disposal of patients and their family members, in case of need to shift them to a super-speciality facility.

25-bed COVID-19 care center set up in Ludhiana Gurdwara

ANI | Updated: May 07, 2021 09:02 IST Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], May 7 (ANI): The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Thursday opened a 25-bed COVID-19 care center at Gurdwara Manji Sahib in Alamgir which will provide free health care to coronavirus patients. Inaugurating the facility, SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur informed that the hospital, which would provide free oxygen and medicines to patients, would also be manned by medical and paramedical staff from the Guru Ram Das Medical College and Hospital, Amritsar. The SGPC President also announced that a fully equipped ambulance will also be stationed at the COVID care centre which will be put at the disposal of patients and their family members, in case there was any need to shift them to a super speciality facility.

100 out of 815 Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan test COVID positive upon return to India

Express News Service CHANDIGARH: At least 100 Sikh pilgrims among 815 who went to Pakistan to celebrate Baisakhi have tested positive on their return on Thursday. The Sikh devotees had gone to Lahore’s Gurdwara Panja Sahib on the last day of Baisakhi. Besides visiting Gurdwara Panja Sahib at Hasan Abdal on April 14, they visited Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur on April 19 and other places. Sources said that pilgrims underwent the mandatory Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) soon after they reached the Joint Check Post situated on Attar-Wagah border. There were reports that many of these pilgrims will be asked to undergo the more dependable RT-PCR test.
