A Flagler County man has been arrested after pulling a knife on a deputy, threatening to cut him and yelling a racial slur.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious incident on Shady Lane in Palm Coast just before 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and arrived to find two frantic subjects one of whom they identified as Clayton Callahan from previous law enforcement encounters yelling at deputies to chase after an unknown SUV that they said had driven off with their money and belongings.

Deputies have arrested a 12-year-old Bunnell Elementary School student for threatening to commit a school shooting. The case is the third instance within the last two weeks of a local student being arrested over threats. (Read about the others here and here.)
The threats came to Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies attention on Wednesday, Feb. 3, after a witness reported that a student had told multiple other students, “Don’t come to school tomorrow, I’m shooting up the school.’’
Deputies made contact with the 12-year-old suspect and his parents and questioned him about the incident. He admitted to making the threats but claimed it was only a joke, and appeared remorseful and apologetic.

Palm Coast resident Edgar Alloway, 77, has been charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit began investigating a cyber tip from Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) on Sept. 3, 2020.
The tip identified an AOL account that uploaded twenty files containing child pornography. The investigation revealed the account belonged to Alloway.
A lengthy investigation led to a search warrant being executed on Nov. 20, 2020, at Alloway s residence at 18 Banton Lane in Palm Coast by FCSO’s Cyber Crimes Detective Dennis Lashbrook, FCSO Crime Scene investigators, members from Volusia County Sheriff’s Office and the North Florida ICAC Task Force.
FLAGLER COUNTY – A student at Matanzas High School has been arrested after authorities said he wrote and recorded a song that contained threatening messages towards a school employee.
A Flagler County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputy was working at Matanzas High School Tuesday when he received reports of a song circulating online about an administer at the school.
During the investigation, FCSO found that the song was recorded by 18-year-old Joseph Washington.
The student reportedly wrote the song in retaliation for being suspended for using offensive language while on campus.
In the lyrics of the song, deputies said Washington threatens physical harm to a faculty member and states that he was suspended from school for a dress code violation and using vulgar language towards the school administrator.
