Thunder Bay’s Adam Sergerie is a busy guy these days.
He is a teacher at St Edmond IB World School in Edmonton, involved in the school’s hockey academy and as of April 6th, took on the role as President of Operations with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, (AJHL).
Sergerie tells Acadia Broadcasting he’s been learning fast about the business side of running a junior team and admits it’s not as easy as it looks.
The former Thunder Bay King also had to get up to speed on the regular testing methods for his players when it comes to COVID-19.

The majority of Whitecourt Wolverines came out of isolation last Wednesday and went on to play two home games against the Bonnyville Pontiacs Saturday and Sunday.
The Wolverines lost the Saturday game 6-2 and the Sunday game 4-0.

âI think the players and everyoneâs excited to get back on the ice and get back rolling,â said Shawn Martin, Wolverines head coach.
Due to a positive test result in the Drayton Valley Thunder cohort, activity was paused for the Wolverines, Thunder and Grande Prairie Storm two weeks ago.
Pontiacs back on the ice March 12th

The Bonnyville Pontiacs will return to the ice on March 12th.
The Alberta Junior Hockey League has released the team cohorts and schedule for its return to the regular season. The Pontiacs will be matched up with the Sherwood Park Crusaders beginning March 12th and ending on April 4th.
The league says a total of 52 games will be played on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Cohorts will change after a break starting on April 4th.
The AJHL announced it would be returning to play back in February with COVID-19 testing of staff and players and teams playing in cohorts.
