2 Sidney residents sentenced to 18 months in prison By Kyle Shaner - kshaner@sidneydailynews.com SIDNEY – Two Sidney residents were sentenced to 18 months in prison in Shelby County Common Pleas Court as a result of probation violations. Judge James F. Stevenson sentenced Philip S. Campbell, 37, of Sidney, to 18 months in prison on a probation violation stemming from a charge of aggravated assault, a fourth degree felony. Campbell was granted credit for four days served in jail. Additionally, Campbell was sentenced to 180 days on an amended charge of domestic violence, a first degree misdemeanor. He previously was charged with a fourth degree felony count of domestic violence but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge on March 22.

From The Tribune staff reports ALABASTER — A well-known man in Shelby County is now facing charges of possession of child pornography with the intent to distribute and dissemination or display of child pornography. Bobby Joe Seales, 76, of Alabaster, was arrested on Thursday, May 13, 2021. He posted $40,000 in bonds and was released from the Shelby County Jail the same day. Seales is currently the Vice President General of the Southern District of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution. He has also served as an ambassador for the Alabama Bicentennial and is the former president of the Shelby County Historical Society.

Woman who refused treatment sentenced to prison By Kyle Shaner - kshaner@sidneydailynews.com SIDNEY – A Sidney woman who refused to accept treatment at the Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation Center was sentenced to 11 months in prison in Shelby County Common Pleas Court. Judge James F. Stevenson sentenced Tiffany A. Fugate, 23, of Sidney, to 11 months in prison on a charge of possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. She was granted credit for 115 days served in jail. Stevenson had sentenced Fugate to five years of probation on April 22. However, Fugate refused to accept the community control condition of treatment at the WORTH Center and requested a re-sentencing.

Judge James F. Stevenson sentenced Haley Paige Elliott. 23, of Sidney, to 47 months in prison on charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth degree felony, trafficking in drugs, a fifth degree felony, and aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third degree felony. As part of a plea deal, two additional charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, both fourth degree felonies, and two additional charges of trafficking in drugs, both fifth degree felonies, were dismissed.

Indictments issued for rape, burglary charges By Kyle Shaner - kshaner@sidneydailynews.com SIDNEY – A Sidney man was indicted on a rape charge while a Piqua man was indicted on an aggravated burglary charge, both of which are first degree felonies, by the Shelby County grand jury. Timothy James Beard, 23, of Sidney, was indicted on a charge of rape, a first degree felony. Beard reportedly engaged in sexual conduct with a girl younger than 13 years old. Zaqon Marteece Zion Clemons, 22, of Piqua, was indicted on a charge of aggravated burglary, a first degree felony. Clemons and others reportedly forced entry into an occupied home on East South Street in Sidney, without permission, while he possessed a gun.
