Cairo: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wednesday held talks with Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sissi dealing with bilateral relations and ways to develop areas of cooperation for the mutual interests of the two nations.
Al Sissi welcomed the UAE’s joining the EastMed Gas Forum, as an additional value to the international organisation that includes Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, and Palestine. The international body was established on 16 January 2020, and its headquarters is located in Cairo.
The two leaders discussed a number of issues of common interests, with a focus on efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of Egypt, on Wednesday discussed the prospects of further consolidating the strong cooperation ties between the UAE and Egypt, in addition to several regional and international issues of interest.
This came as Sisi received Sheikh Mohamed at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo, along with Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, and Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, along with their accompanying delegation.
They reviewed the role humanitarian and charity organisations played in helping underprivileged nations survive the COVDI-19 pandemic.
Sheikh Mohammed and Beasley highlighted the difficult conditions poor people worldwide are facing due to the pandemic and the difficulties they are encountering to meet their food and medical supplies and needs, in the presence of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Beasley hailed the significant humanitarian role played by the UAE through its charity and humanitarian organisations toward needy populations across the world, particularly third world and African nations without discrimination.
He highlighted the major humanitarian missions carried out by Dubai’s International Humanitarian City in providing essential food supplies through airlifts and land bridges despite the tough transportation and traffic conditions caused by the current health crisis.
