Gov. Mike DeWine unveiled a two-year state spending budget with a $1 billion initiative to help bring the state back from the economic downfall of the pandemic. The budget proposal includes $460 million in relief for small businesses, with $20 million of that set aside for businesses that opened in 2020.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Cincinnati Public Schools are heading back to class for the first time in months after a failed effort to halt it by the teacherâs union.
Preschool through third-grade students are scheduled to start a blended learning schedule Tuesday.
The rest of the students will be phased in over the next two weeks.
District officials said Monday they look forward to welcoming students back into classrooms.

A teachers union in Cincinnati is suing to try to stop one of Ohio’s biggest school districts from reopening for in-person learning as the state begins distributing coronavirus vaccines for employees in that district and others.
The Cincinnati Federation of Teachers said its case filed Friday asks a Hamilton County court to delay in-person learning in Cincinnati Public Schools until an arbitrator rules on a related grievance from the union. CFT is objecting to reopening under circumstances that it considers unsafe for staff and students.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A judge on Monday denied a lawsuit from a teachers union to delay the return to in-person learning at Cincinnati Public Schools.
Now, students are scheduled to start heading back to class Tuesday in a blended learning plan the district plans to phase in over the next month.
The Cincinnati Federation of Teachers, the union representing educators at the largest school district in the Tri-State, tried to halt the return of in-person learning late last week in what has become an increasingly controversial national debate over when itâs safe to return to class amid the coronavirus pandemic.
